Please answer the following questions (each needs to be a minimum of 200 words – basically one paragraph):

Q1 Compare and contrast the classic models that describe internal urban structure from the Chicago school, the L.A. school, and the New York school (e.g., concentric zone model, sector model, and multiple nuclei model).

Q2 What are the alternative explanations and theories for the internal structure of cities compared to the classical models? Define them and make sure to highlight how they differ from the classical models discussed in section 3.1.

Q3 Use the case study in Snohomish County, Washington to explain Central Place Theory including its theoretical and methodological limitations (see section 4.2).

Q4 Describe and explain the evolution of the American urban city, including the four epochs which compose it.

Q5 Define the World Cities approach? What are the major functions of global cities? What are the limitations of the World Cities approach?
