Introduction

Protein is a crucial part of your diet, regardless of your activity level. Protein is found in your muscles, bones, hair, skin, and fingernails. Proteins also play important roles in facilitating chemical reactions, regulating body functions, maintaining fluid balance, promoting the immune system, and clotting blood. However, it is possible to consume too much protein.

In this activity, you will compare your level of protein intake to the accepted recommendations and consider how your consumption of protein affects your health.
