Minimizing bias and decreasing threats to internal validity is important to experimental designs How will

Minimizing bias and decreasing threats to internal validity is important to experimental designs. How will a researcher use the three criteria, manipulation, randomization, and control to minimize bias and decrease threats to internal validity? 2. Many times, researchers state that randomized clinical trials (RCT) provide the strongest level of evidence for an individual study when using an evidence-based model.  As a researcher, why do you think this statement is true? 3. When conducting an experimental design, how will you as a researcher, use intervention fidelity to increase the strength and quality of the evidence provided by the findings of the study? 4. What is your cosmic question? (This is a question you ask your peers to respond to based on the chapter discussed in class this week i.e. Quantitative studies). List what DSM diagnosis the tool/instrument is used for Identify an assessment/diagnosis

List what DSM diagnosis the tool/instrument is used for.   Identify an assessment/diagnosis instrument.  Appraise a scholarly, peer-reviewed article that addresses the use of the instrument to support your choice as an evidence-based instrument for practice.   Evaluate the instrument’s appropriateness for diagnosing the condition it is designed to assess or if the developers of the instrument reported that the instrument is only part of a comprehensive assessment for the disorder.   Describe whether or not the instrument can be used to measure patient response to therapy/treatment or if it is strictly for assessment and diagnosis.   Discuss the psychometrics/scoring of the instrument, including reliability and validity.   Discuss any limitations associated with the use of the instrument.  Include a link to view the assessment if possible. Last week you watched a series of videos that discussed the importance of the humanities

Last week, you watched a series of videos that discussed the importance of the humanities.  Many students who are pursuing fields in science and technology often ask why they need to take humanities classes in college.  They often feel these classes are of little value and a waste of their time.  Chair of the School of History and Sociology at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Eric Schatzberg, argues that the humanities are ‘central to our conceptions of technology and science’  because ‘technology is about people as much as things.’  Read his argument, ‘Want to fix the tech industry? Start with the humanities?’ (Links to an external site.) (Download Article Here   Download Download Article Here) which was published in The Washington Post in 2019. Once you have read the article, choose at least one point Schatzberg makes to support his argument, summarize it, and explain if you agree, disagree, or do a little of both.  What reasons or arguments can you give to support your point of view?   Then, go one step farther with the point you selected from Schatzberg’s argument to uncover the argumentative strategies he’s using to make his argument.  Is he employing ethos, pathos, logos, or a combination of these?  How can you tell?

It is important to understand the role of research in professional nursing.Imagine a scenario in which you are discussing nursing research and the role it plays in nursing practice with a colleague from another profession who has little knowledge of the topic. In this conversation, you should include the following: What is the purpose of nursing research? The following are terms you might use in the discussion with your colleague: research, evidence-based practice (EBP), research utilization (RU), and quality improvement (QI) How are they related? How are they different? Are they interchangeable? Why are these relevant to professional nursing practice? What is the role of the BSN-prepared nurse in research, EBP, RU, and QI processes? How is this different from the MSN-, PhD-, and DNP-prepared nurse? You are already familiar with problem solving and nursing processes. You are learning about research and EBP processes. Explain the EBP process to your colleague by comparing and contrasting it with problem solving, nursing, and research processes. 2 pages APA format, 2 references ,
