Development Lab 8 – Analyzing Invasive Species Habitat

Now that you have learned about raster analysis and how we build models in a GIS, this lab will walk you through doing that in QGIS.  In the process, we will examine the habitats that are suitable to the American bullfrog, an invasive species in Washington State.  By identifying where we are likely to find them, we can identify where to target elimination efforts and implement practices to protect native species.  

As you learn how to set up a geoprocessing model and use some raster analysis tools, we will also be considering the real-world geographic question:

Where are we most likely to find the invasive American bullfrog?

This lab should take approximately 3 hours to complete.
